Thursday 7th June at the Cheltenham Science Festival with Meridian

4 Jun 2018 - 10 Jun 2018

Cheltenham, UK

This week the Meridian team are at the Cheltenham Science Festival as we delve into the world of science to inspire the people who will bring the future of mobility to our streets. You can find us in the Discover Zone every day from Tuesday 5th June to Sunday 10th June.

On Thursday 7th June we’re joined by Costain and the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) on the Meridian stand.

Costain: RoboCones, Heat imaging cameras and other interesting things!

NPL: The UK’s National Measurement Institute, is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate measurement standards in science and technology available.

On the Meridian stand we will be demonstrating the technology we use to capture 3D images of field grown crops such as wheat and barley for plant research and automated harvesting. The same technology is utilised in autonomous vehicles for guidance and collision avoidance and we are developing methods to simulate and validate these sensors under a range of operating conditions.

Come along and see yourself captured in 3D.
